Covid-19 Information

At present we do not require our patients to wear a face mask in the practice UNLESS you have a new cough when you will be asked to wear a mask to protect other patients and our staff.

People aged 75 years and older, residents in care homes for older people, and those aged 6 months and over with a weakened immune system will be offered a dose of COVID-19 vaccine this spring.

Spring 2024 booster eligibility

COVID-19 is more serious in older people and in people with certain underlying health conditions. For these reasons, people aged 75 years and over, those in care homes, and those aged 6 months and over with a weakened immune system are being offered a spring dose of COVID-19 vaccine.

Eligible groups are:

• Adults aged 75 and over (before 30^th June 2024)
• Immunosuppressed:
• Organ, bone marrow or stem cell transplant patients
• Those being treated with systemic steroids for more than a month
• Those living with HIV
• Those receiving immunosuppressive or immunomodulating biological therapy
• Those undergoing chemotherapy or radiotherapy
• Those who require long term therapy for immunosuppression
• Those with a history of haematological malignancy including chronic leukaemia, lymphomas, and leukaemia
• Those with genetic disorders affecting the immune system. 

The clinics are being held at Victoria Central Health Centre, Mill Lane on the following dates:

 2^nd May - 2.00pm - 5.30pm – walk in appointment only

4^th May - 9.00am until 4.30pm

5^th May - 9.00am until 4.30pm

9^th May - 2.00pm - 5.30pm – walk in appointment only

11^th May - 9.00am until 4.30pm

18^th May - 9.00am until 4.30pm

19^th May - 9.00am until 4.30pm

25^th May - 9.00am until 4.30pm
